Hi! I’m Piper Campbell, and I’m an illustrator and fine artist with a love for people.

I’ve always had a love for creating and have been drawing since I could hold a crayon. Growing up in North Carolina with my supportive family in a lively college town, I was encouraged to pursue my creativity from all sides. You could never find me without my sketchbook! All of my notes in class were covered in doodles of characters with their own stories; I’ve been illustrating my friends and whimsical characters ever since elementary school. Now, I’m a children’s book illustrator while I pursue a degree in Fine Art.

My illustrations usually start with an idea and many sketches before I move to the final draft. However, I often take a more direct approach, especially to my paintings. I’m constantly inspired by the people I meet, the books I read, and the world around me to create interesting characters and worlds that bring joy to others. I’ve always found beauty in the world and wanted to reflect it in my art; that idea took on a whole new dimension when I became a Christian at fourteen years old. I believe that humans are created in the Image of God with the ability to create. That belief inspires me to create beautiful things that point to Christ, make people happy, and use my God-given ability to express creativity.

My love for people and for creating beautiful works drives me to make new illustrations, new paintings, and to never stop improving my craft. When I’m not making art, you can usually find me reading, chatting in ASL, or playing video games with my husband.
